At our school, we are committed to preparing children for life beyond the classroom by providing meaningful experiences that develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of the wider world. As part of this commitment, we work with HSBC UK Financial Education to help pupils develop essential money management skills from an early age. Through engaging workshops and learning activities, children gain an age-appropriate understanding of saving, spending, budgeting and making informed financial decisions. Mini First Aid
At Willingdon Primary School, we are committed to equipping our pupils with practical skills that will help them throughout their lives. Through our Mini First Aid sessions, children learn essential first aid techniques in an engaging, age-appropriate and memorable way. Pupils are taught how to respond calmly in an emergency, call for help, administer basic first aid and understand how they can keep themselves and others safe. The Great Out-Tours
At Willingdon Primary School, we are proud to partner with The Great Out-Tours to provide exciting outdoor learning experiences for every year group throughout the academic year. These carefully planned sessions are linked directly to each year group's curriculum, enabling pupils to deepen their understanding through hands-on, practical learning in the natural environment. Whether exploring local habitats, developing fieldwork skills, investigating historical themes or taking part in team-building challenges, children benefit from engaging experiences that bring classroom learning to life. Through this partnership, pupils develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and a greater appreciation of the world around them while making meaningful connections across their learning.
