School Lunches

We are PS Catering Management Ltd and we are proud to introduce ourselves to you as the new caterers from September 2026.

We provide 3 hot meal options daily. This allows children to have maximum choice and ensures they have access to nutritious, tasty, meal options every day, that will give them the energy to keep them going throughout the school day.

We make sure that we use products when they are in season so that your children’s meals are made from only the freshest ingredients. This not only helps to support local famers but also helps to reduce our carbon footprint.

We also provide tasters every day so your children can try different foods and maybe find new flavours they love!

Details on theme days, special days and competitions are advertised in advance, on the school website, so you have plenty of time to ensure your children have lunch with us on these days.

We only purchase the most sustainable products and all our waste is recycled including our cooking oil which is converted into biofuel.

We use feedback from the children to develop our menus, after all we want children in our schools to enjoy their lunches.

If you are eligible then please apply for what is known as ‘Free School Meals’ as this provides additional funding to the school.

Great food is what we are all about whilst reducing our impact on the environment.

Free School Meals (FSM)

Although all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 automatically receive a free school meal, it is still very important that families who may be eligible apply for Free School Meals (FSM). This enables the school to receive additional government funding, known as Pupil Premium, which helps to support children's learning, wellbeing and wider school experiences.

Important change from September 2026

From September 2026, the Government is expanding Free School Meal eligibility so that all children in households receiving Universal Credit will be entitled to free school meals, regardless of household earnings. Families will still need to apply to confirm their eligibility.

Please note that applications remain important, as FSM registration may help the school access additional funding and support where applicable.

All applications are treated in the strictest confidence and applying will not affect any other benefits you may already receive.

Healthy Eating Policy

Please do remember that we are a nut free school therefore ask that pack lunches do not contain products with any nut content i.e. peanut butter, Nutella/some chocolate spreads, some cereal bars – please check content labels carefully.
